Gaynor joined the Signpost Care Partnerships team in October 2000. Her role is to provide an effective housing management service to the tenants and to encourage and support clients to live independently in their own homes.

She works very closely with Social Services, assisting the Scheme Manager and frequently liaising with social workers however, she works mainly with the team of support staff who are also based at Strouden Road.

Before joining Signpost Gaynor spent eight and a half years with Social Services working in a residential home for adults with learning difficulties, unfortunately the home closed down. As a result she needed to look for new opportunities.

As Gaynor says," The closure was very sad for everyone involved, but it is wonderful to see some of the clients from that home now living more independently in their own homes at Strouden Road".

When she is not at work, she is a busy mother of two young children aged six and seven. As a family they enjoy going swimming, going to the cinema and watching their son and his pals play in the Under 8's football team, which Gaynor's husband Allan manages.
