Supported Housing Officer
After studying for her State Enrolled Nursing Certificate
in Sussex, Anji moved to Kent and on to Hanover in West
Germany where she spent three years.
Returning to the U.K. Anji settled in Somerset to be
near her family, having a variety of nursing posts but
mainly working with people with mental health problems.
After spending 3 years working in community care with
Carewatch Wessex, holding the post of Field Care Supervisor
with a staff of 20+ Anji decided that a change was needed
and joined Signpost Care Partnerships as a project worker
with the assertive outreach team, a post that she enjoyed
very much.
Now she is a Supported Housing Officer based at Jude
Court, which is a 6 bedded unit for Vulnerable Young
Adults aged 16-25 years of age, this is a very interesting
and stimulating challenge.
Anji is separated with two children, Sam (21), her daughter
who works in the Spinal Unit at Salisbury Hospital,
and son Ross (11) is about to start secondary school.
She has a fat spoilt but totally mad boxer dog, and
seems to spend a lot of time playing 'taxi' to her children.
Free time is spent helping out at the local Karate Club
(as Ross is a black belt), with friends socialising,
going to the cinema, eating out, and trying to get to
the beach to while away the hours with a good book and
a bottle of suntan lotion.
