His
Worship The Mayor of Bournemouth Councillor Ted Taylor recently
opened Lulworth Court in Richmond Park Road, Bournemouth.
This new Signpost Care Partnerships scheme comprises 9 flats
for people with learning disabilities with a communal lounge
and office area. It has cost £1.28million to develop
and was made possible by grant funding from Bournemouth Borough
Council, the Housing Corporation and Signpost's private funders.
His Worship The Mayor said, "We know that there is a
need for supported housing in Bournemouth and that it why
it is a great pleasure to be here today to open Lulworth Court
which has partly been financed by Bournemouth Borough Council."
Bournemouth
Borough Council nominated people to the properties and residents
have been living in their homes since mid January.
Shane Singer, a tenant at Lulworth Court says, "I feel
really at home it's nice to have the peace and harmony and
enjoying a bit of time to myself. I love every bit of living
here, having my own abode and spending time with my friends."
The contractors were Glossbrook, the Architect was DLM Design
and The Employers Agents were the Fry Binks Partnership.
