Signpost Care Partnerships Ltd has received £75,000 from Signpost
Homes Ltd based in Dorset. The money will be used to fund community
projects, which will assist in the provision of affordable housing
to those in most need.
This is the fourth consecutive year of gift-aid transfers from
Signpost's commercial companies into the charitable arm of its group
structure. The transaction will enable a further £25,000 of
tax relief and such transfers are one of the reasons why Signpost
moved to a group company formation in 1999.
Bob Adams, Group Chief Executive explains, "In 1999 Signpost
Housing Association made the decision to form a group structure.
By doing this the profits made by the two commercial divisions,
Signpost Homes and Signpost Services could be reinvested in the
company's core activity of providing affordable homes via our charitable
division - Signpost Care Partnerships. To date both companies have
contributed £400,000 to Signpost Care Partnerships. Signpost
Homes' contribution this year will go some way to providing more
homes and services to those in greatest housing need. Our expectations
are that these companies will continue to grow from strength to
strength and these additional profits will be used to help those
in need."
