The Vice Chair of South Somerset District Council, Councillor Dave
Greene, and Anne Murphy, Chairlady of Signpost Care Partnerships
will be officially opening Century Park, Yeovil, on Wednesday 16
June 2004 at 1:00pm.
The scheme, developed by Signpost, comprises 46 homes including
6 bungalows adapted for wheelchair users and an office, 4 one-bedroom
apartments, 10 two-bedroom apartments, 11 three-bedroom houses,
and 2 four-bedroom houses for rent. There are a further 9 houses
for sale on a shared ownership basis.
Nominations for the homes will be taken from South Somerset District
Council's Housing Register.
The scheme was financed jointly by the Housing Corporation, South
Somerset District Council and Signpost Housing Association and cost
approximately £3.4million.
This was a design and build scheme and the building contractors
are Brookvale Homes of Yeovil.
ENDS: The Vice Chair will be cutting a ribbon to mark the opening
of Century Park, off Watercombe Lane, off Preston Road, Yeovil at
1:00pm, this will be followed by an opportunity to view some of
the properties.
