10 properties operated as care homes and supported housing by Dorset
Residential Homes (DRH) have been transferred to Signpost Care Partnerships.
This groundbreaking deal will safeguard the future of these homes,
which offer care and support to vulnerable people.
The deal involved Signpost purchasing all the properties owned
and occupied by DRH plus the properties leased (and occupied) by
them from the North Dorset NHS Primary Care Trust and Inventure.
Signpost will carry out improvement works to bring them up to current
Care Home Registration Standards.
Brian Miller, Group Director of Support Services said, "This
has been a very complex project which has taken a number of years
to come to fruition. We are absolutely delighted that the transfer
has now happened and would like to extend our thanks to the legal
consultants acting on all parties behalf."
The DRH properties are located across Dorset and vary from larger
residential homes to smaller properties. Signpost will lease them
back to the DRH on a 25-year lease.
